WWE Money In The Bank 2026: 9 Things That NEED To Happen

All change as WWE prepares for 2027 and the Royal Rumble-WrestleMania sprint.

Roman Reigns LA Knight

Apologies in advance to any LA Knight fans who happen to be reading this, but the 'Megastar' likely won't dethrone Roman Reigns en route to that oh so elusive World Heavyweight Title win on Saturday night in New Orleans. Knight's title tilt has 'B-tier PLE side story' written all over it, which seems to be the tale of his WWE career as a whole.

Who knows? Maybe Triple H will spring a shock and put LA over for the big gold. Not in these pages he won't. As the featured image suggests, it's someone else who'll end the weekend on top of the world looking down at the 'OTC', and it ain't the artist formerly known as Max Dupri. Yeah!

WWE has 5 matches (at time of writing) in store for Money In The Bank, but there's plenty to unpack. Dual ladder match winners will be thrashed out, there are multiple titles to determine, and some big boys will do big boy things when Oba Femi wrestles with comeback king Bronson Reed. If you thought WCW Nitro was "Where The Big Boys Play", then strap in - you haven't seen anything yet.

This could, in theory, be a dramatic night that sets up things to come during WrestleMania 43 season and gives the final few months of 2026 a right good kick in the pants. Stephanie Vaquer going Roman Reigns, new champions crowned, legends costing one another a shot at glory by mimicking classic table bumps and more.

MITB could be chaos. Here's absolutely everything that must happen in NOLA.

9. Roxanne Perez Grabs The Briefcase

On paper, anyone could win this, and there are compelling arguments for most of the field: Tiffany Stratton may well win the briefcase then turn on Chelsea Green, Jacy Jayne is riding high as the leader of Fatal Influence, Sol Ruca's momentum has stalled so WWE could be looking for fresh ways to reinvigorate her, Lola Vice is a shiny new main roster prospect, management really like Lash Legend etc etc.

Then, there's lil' Roxanne Perez.

It's easy to forget just how big a deal she was on NXT before becoming part of Judgment Day and effectively shadowing Liv Morgan. In more recent times, Perez has even played second (or third) fiddle to Raquel Rodriguez, so it'd be nice to see her jump-start ye olde Raw career properly with a Money In The Bank win that rockets Roxanne up the card.

This is one of the hardest women's MITB matches to call in recent memory, which is a good thing. In fact, it's a great thing, and it should make a victory for Perez even sweeter. Put it this way: If she climbs over the top of competition this fierce and hauls down the case, then she'll be well-placed to become Women's World Champ someday soon.

A feud opposite JD pal Morgan is a must, but Roxanne generally deserves the chance to break out on her own and show what she can do away from the Judgment Day nest. MITB would be a giant step towards that for the former 2-time NXT Women's Champion.
