Charlotte Flair reportedly pushed for Tatum Paxley's WWE main roster move.
With Tatum Paxley having now made the jump to the WWE main roster, there's some interesting new detail about Tatum getting the call-up from NXT.
For those who missed SmackDown, Paxley appeared during the Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill main event, aligning with Charlotte and Alexa Bliss, and helping to neutralise Michin and B-Fab as Flair got the win. As SmackDown went off the air, it was Flair, Bliss, and Paxley standing tall in the middle of the ring.
Per False Finish, Charlotte Flair actually requested that Tatum Paxley join her and Alexa Bliss as a group on SmackDown, which is quite the endorsement from the Queen.
A main roster move for Tatum had been rumoured for months, even dating back to last year, with the former NXT Women's Champion and NXT Women's North American Champion having pretty much done all she could do in NXT. Likewise, Lola Vice is another who seems destined for the main roster, likely for SmackDown, fresh off losing to Kendal Grey in an Underground match on last week's NXT.
Tatum Paxley - and Lola Vice, for that matter - should prove to be a welcome addition to the SmackDown roster, not least due to the blue brand's women's division having WWE Women's Champion Rhea Ripley out of action due to a meniscus tear, and this weekend's news that Interim WWE Women's Champion Chelsea Green suffered a broken orbital bone on the most recent Smackers outing - putting major question marks over Chelsea's current status.
