3. Liv Morgan’s Double Champ Roll Begins

Eyebrows were raised when it was announced that reigning Women's World Champion and Judgment Day member Liv Morgan would be in this year's Queen Of The Ring tournament. Explaining, Liv said that she fancied winning the crown and knocking a potential challenger out of the equation before going on to become a double champ at the expense of her old rival Rhea Ripley.

Fair enough, but that sort of makes a mockery of the entire tourney.

Besides, the writers have done a poor job of justifying the belt Morgan already has at it is. In fairness, Stephanie Vaquer's injury forced a hasty re-write of plans for Liv, but contingency plans do exist and WWE failed to come up with one. Thus, they've had to plonk Morgan into Queen Of The Ring and tease a rematch with Rhea that feels almost as tired as The Bloodline reprise or teasers for a revamped/offshoot Judgment Day over on SmackDown.

Is anyone really that excited about the prospect of Liv beating IYO SKY this weekend, donning the crown in cackling promos, then coming after an injured Ripley at SummerSlam? That feels like a missed opportunity for the Queen Of The Ring tourney. Dunno, some readers out there might disagree wholeheartedly with such moaning.

It just doesn't sound great to imagine Morgan doing sod all with 2 belts rather than the Women's World Title she's already treading water with. What was that about Hunter finding it difficult to book champions properly? Give this woman a fresh feud ASAP.
