10 Actors Who Should Play Carnage In The Venom Spin-Off Movie

7. Jim Carrey

While the very idea of Jim Carrey as a comic book movie villain immediately conjures painful memories of his scenery-devouring work in Batman Forever, that was mid-90's Carrey on autopilot doing the routine that made him one of the biggest stars in the world. That would never work for a character like Carnage.

If the 55 year-old was cast wildly against type in an attempt to reignite a stagnant career and brought the motivation and passion that saw him receive awards recognition as an underrated character actor in the past, then the results could be spectacular.

It wouldn't be hard to buy into the idea of Carrey as a crazy person, and if he dialed back the wacky antics in favor of genuine psychopathy then you could have a memorable nemesis on your hands. In relative terms, less Jack Nicholson and more Heath Ledger without going full Leto.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
