10 Dream MCU Projects Disney Will (Probably) Never Make

Wolverine, Nick Fury and Captain America in a World War II adventure? Oh, what could've been...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe just brought its most exciting project yet to fruition earlier this year in Avengers: Endgame, and yet, with all the news surrounding Phase 4, the various Disney+ TV shows and such, one can't help but feel the best is still yet to come.

Make no mistake - while Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home hailed the end of some of franchise's most important figures in Captain America, Iron Man and (although unintentionally), Spider-Man as well, Marvel Studios' future couldn't be brighter. Apart from hotly anticipated sequels to Black Panther, Doctor Strange and Thor arriving over the next few years, Disney are also producing several projects based on properties that have never made it to the big screen before, in The Eternals and Shang-Chi.

Factor in reboots for Blade, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, and it's doubtful Marvel fans will find themselves mourning the loss of the aforementioned trio for too long.

Be that as it may, let's not pretend there haven't been missed opportunities. While Marvel are set to produce some of their most adventurous material to date, there are still a whole host of incredible storylines, arcs and relationships audiences just won't get to see - either because of characters having left the series behind, or because their inherent zaniness may prove too great a stumbling block for the films to navigate.
