10 Dumbest Supervillain Schemes You Won't Believe

7. Loki Made Deadpool Look Like Tom Cruise

Loki pretended to be the father of Wade Wilson AKA Deadpool to encourage him to retrieve Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Although Deadpool obtained Thor's weapon, he refused to give up. As punishment, Loki placed a curse on Deadpool to ensure his "life would fall to ruin" until he reconciled with his father.

Loki's enchantment caused Wade Wilson to be cursed with an indestructible Tom Cruise face.

Since Deadpool's face is usually covered in tumours, Loki's spell didn't seem that bad at first. However, the Merc with the Mouth got so sick of people asking for his autograph (including supervillains he was fighting), Deadpool tried to scar his face until he no longer resembled the Hollywood star. Despite smashing his head into a mirror, allowing himself to be run over by a train, and get hit with a nuclear rod, his face didn't have a scratch.

By a complete coincidence, Deadpool managed to bump into his real father and the pair reconciled their differences, which lifted Loki's curse.

Also, the hammer that Deadpool obtained turned out to be a fake, meaning that Loki's scheme was completely pointless.
