10 Underrated Marvel Movies That Deserve Another Chance

6. Iron Man 3

When it comes to discussing Iron Man 3, the one thing seems to always be brought up perpetually is its questionable treatment of the Mandarin. However, to dismiss the film based on that aspect alone would be doing a great disservice to what is, otherwise, one of the single best films the MCU has ever put out.

It's always interesting to see what is usually an all-powerful hero being knocked down a few pegs and having to work their way back and Iron Man 3 is no exception. Its portrayal of Stark suffering from PTSD-like symptoms and coming to terms with his tendency to push people out of his life is exceptionally harrowing, which is only amplified by Robert Downy Jr.'s incredible knack for playing the character.

It's a film that's less about Iron Man and more about Tony Stark, and in that regard, it definitely succeeds.

In addition, the film also has what is easily the best climax of the entire Iron Man trilogy, some of the best visuals Marvel has to offer, the overall drama is spectacular, the supporting cast does a great job, and, when you look at it in a bubble and disregard the source material, the Mandarin reveal was pretty hilarious.
