10 Wolverine Stories We Would Love To See In The MCU

9. Daken

Wolverine X-Force Puzzle Quest
Marvel Comics

Throughout the years, Wolverine has been depicted as a hero, a wild man, an assassin, and a dog (that was a weird issue). But in 2006, the Marvel team tried a new angle: what if Wolverine was a dad?

While living in Japan during the 1940s, Wolverine's pregnant wife was murdered. Because the Canadian superhero assumed his unborn son died, he left. Little did he know that the baby, Akihiro, had a healing factor and so, managed to survive.

After being tormented by bigots for years, Daken turned into a bitter and hateful man. When he learned his father was alive and abandoned him, he directed all his rage towards Wolverine and vowed to kill him.

The best thing about Daken is he isn't just "Wolverine Jr." He is a fully-formed, three-dimensional character. He's manipulative, sadistic, and will play anyone to get what he wants.

It’s easy to make a Wolverine movie turn into a hack-and-slash, so introducing Daken would be a perfect opportunity to make the story more personal.
