It is perhaps in the single-issue story 'Coyote Gospel' that the meditative and allegorical style of storytelling in Grant Morrison's Animal Man stands out most, a story that escapes accurate description in words alone.
Here's hoping that the heartbreaking final page of the story can do a better job at articulating the meanings and mood of the story better than I ever could - those of purpose, religion, and the place of the humble superhero in art.
