Johnny Storm has been a member of the Fantastic Four since the series debuted, but back in 2011's Fantastic Four #587, the Human Torch was killed off.

After heading into the Negative Zone, Johnny is left behind to hold off the Annihilation Wave, which is shown in this panel that depicts the hero just moments before his death.
