Arrow: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

Who has saved the show over the last seven years, and who has failed it?

After seven years of reinventing the superhero genre on television, Arrow will bid us adieu with its shortened final season in October.

The show that many credit for kick-starting the endless wave of superhero TV shows that are on our screens these days first arrived on The CW back in 2012 and reminded audiences that superheroes were capable of having movie-like adventures in a 40-minute program.

Boasting a large cast, it focused on the adventures of Oliver Queen, who returned after five years stranded on an island named Lian Yu in order to save the city that he loved so much. As he did so, we met his mother, his sister and other characters who played an important part in his life such as Tommy Merlyn and Laurel Lance.

Since then, however, Arrow has grown into something of a much grander scale and, as it did so, introduced us to other superheroes, countless villains and a ton of new characters that were just waiting to be explored. While some of those characters made a lasting impression, others were mistreated and cast aside.

From archers to assassins and Canaries to criminals, let's take a look back at every major character to have graced Arrow and, while we're at it, rank them.

35. Evelyn Sharp

Insensitively introduced as a knock-off Black Canary following Laurel Lance's death, Evelyn Sharp felt totally out of place right from the very beginning and, by the end of the episode, we didn't feel any better about her. That being said, the show did attempt to make her more of an interesting character in Season 5 when she was reintroduced as a member of Oliver Queen's new team and, at the time, it seemed like it was going to work.

Unfortunately, an unnecessary heel turn that was never fully explained turned her into a one-note villain that became nothing more than an annoying henchwoman - which was a real shame because Madison McLaughlin is one heck of an actress (something she demonstrated to perfection in 'Kapiushon').
