MCU: 8 Villains Who Could Be The Next Big Bad

7. Galactus

Galactus has the same drawback as Doom, in that Marvel don't currently own the rights to the character, but as discussed before this would not be a deal breaker.

As another of the Fantastic Four's greatest villains, a new iteration of Galactus appeared in Rise of the Silver Surfer in the form of a cloud. Changing such an iconic character so drastically did not please the fans, leaving many unhappy with what they saw.

Bringing The Devourer Of Worlds into the MCU would give Marvel a chance to right this wrong. While the character may have seemed a bit farfetched just a few years ago, we have seen out-of-this-world cosmic characters introduced, or at least referenced in recent times (The Living Tribunal in Doctor Strange, and Celestials and The Watchers in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2).

Fighting Galactus would pose more of a moral dilemma for The Avengers than they have faced before, in that he is not just another power hungry megalomaniac craving world domination. He is simply doing what he needs to do survive.

Not only would he pose a greater threat than Thanos, we would also have the chance to see his relationship with the Herald of Galactus, the Silver Surfer, and possibly other cosmic beings such as Lord Chaos and Master Order.
