10 Times Wrestlers SPOILED Their Own Matches
8. Jonathan Gresham Looks Like A Defeated Man At Death Before Dishonour
Jonathan Gresham had evidently checked out of all things ROH/AEW on the night of Death Before Dishonor 2022.
It would eventually be revealed that the then-ROH World Champion had requested his release after a lack of communication with boss Tony Khan, with Gresham then making his way to the ring for his match against Claudio Castagnoli like a performer who wanted to be anywhere else on planet earth.
His usual epic Cthulhu mask, flag, and passion were all absent as he wandered down to the ring with a blank expression on his face. Gresham wasn't here to put on a show. He was here to do the job and leave.
He did exactly that to be fair, shook the new champ's hand, and had a civil chat with Khan post-match as the ROH owner explained how no bridges had been burned despite Gresham's controversial exit.
But all that doesn't change the fact that Gresham pretty much gave away his last ROH match's ending from the moment the fed up champ emerged maskless on July 23, 2022.
