002: Duffy €“ Rain On My Parade

Another great voice that would work beautifully in the 60€™s era of Bond. But what nails this as a Bond song is the use of violins. That intense, dramatic accompaniment that repeats throughout the song is so Bond it makes other Bond songs sound less like Bond songs than Rain On Your Parade does. The song speaks for itself. Quite simply, play this song over any Bond title sequence. It just works. I wonder what happened to Duffy. She was a great singer. Continued success or not, she has demonstrated that she can sing a Bond song. Maybe Bond 24 is the time for to come back into the limelight?
