Nobody has ever had a better year than the one Chris Pratt had in 2014. Last year, he was just another comedic, schlubby actor, starring as the lovably daft Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation. Then Guardians of the Galaxy happened, and he's been catapulted to the top of the A List. We all had high hopes going into Guardians of the Galaxy, but we were a little bit surprised at just how well it all came together, and how compelling Pratt's performance was in the lead role. Now he's one of the most in-demand actors in Hollywood, and as such has several films on his plate for the next couple of years. But the one that we're most excited about is the new addition to the Jurassic Park universe, Jurassic World. The famous dinosaur films have had sort of checkered past, with the sequels not living up to the admittedly high standard of the first film. But they're taking another crack at it, and have enlisted an interesting cast of actors to star in the new film, including Chris Pratt, Jake Johnson, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Vincent D'Onofrio. Jurassic World takes place two decades after the original, where the dinosaur theme park island is fully operational and showing decreased attendance rates, which leads them to create a new exhibit with predictably unpleasant results.
