9. Cats Eye (1985)
This is a Stephen King anthology film that does have an interesting premise, with the travels of a stray cat drawn to a little girl in danger. The first two stories Quitters Inc and The Ledge are okay, its with the last one The General that the film starts having problems. Its hard to make a threat out of a creature that you could tread on. With a remake of Carrie due and the trailer gaining cautious approval, Stephen Kings older works are getting older enough in Hollywood years to warrant remaking. There is certainly nothing wrong with going back to the stories in Night Shift and Skeleton Crew and turning them into a new anthology film. The use of a wandering cat could convey the sense of some hidden threats waiting on the side lines of the everyday world.
