8. The NeverEnding Story (1984)
This story has been destined to never end... The fictitious adventures of bullied bookworm Bastian Bux has the potential to be quite extraordinary with the evolving use of SFX - although a 3D release would also be inevitable. However, in these evolving electronic times, I wouldn't be surprised if Bastian jumped into a Kindle instead of a real book with actual pages...
