6. The Voodoo Ritual (Child's Play)
In the original 1988 instalment of the popular horror franchise Child's Play, wanted fugitive and serial killer Charles Lee Ray, also known as the "Lakeshore Strangler", is being chased by homicide detective Mike Norris. After spotting Mike's partner Jack Santos, Charles's getaway driver and henchman Eddie Caputo drives off without Charles. As a result, Charles is stranded. Charles is forced takes refuge in a toy shop, but Mike mortally wounds him with a gun shot while he's in there. Upon discovering that he is bleeding to death, Charles swears revenge on Mike and Eddie and performs a ridiculous Voodoo ritual to transfer his soul into a red-haired "Good-Guy" doll. The ritual causes a huge storm to brew and lighting strikes, destroying the shop in a large explosion. Mike survives, finding Charles' motionless body. Of course, there was no sign of the doll and the rest is history...
