The Film: Macaulay Culkin rose to instant fame as a lovable child star after the comedic sensation of Home Alone, and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York to a lesser extent. The 1990 film has entrenched itself as a slap stick cult classic, bringing young adults rushing back to their childhood days in an instant. The film captured hearts around the world with it's outrageous schemes and traps, foiling any would be burglar to cross the young hero's path. What Happened Next: The movie thrust Culkin into a spotlight and Hollywood lifestyle like no other 10 year old should be thrown into. While initially following his acting career through the mid nineties, the child star's career was stuck in the mud as a one trick pony, constantly being typecast in the same roles. It would not be long before Culkin would fade into obscurity. Home Alone arguably cost Culkin the chance to showcase variety as casting agents and directors would try only to recreate Kevin McCallister. Looking at you Richie Rich. What Now: Following his last recognized movie, Richie Rich, in 1994, Culkin has featured in a grand total of four (six if you count cameos as himself) movies in the proceeding 22 years. He also suffered from some highly publicized drug problems and was even arrested for possession in 2004, however, since forming his own comedic parody band (called The Pizza Underground... seriously) and finding a new relationship, Culkin has remained clean in recent years, yet has shown no desire to return to the realm of cinema for good.
I've loved all things sport since I was old enough to know what sport was and am a big fan of terrible jokes.
I get into some Gaming in my spare time and writing articles about the things I love to watch and play.
