Mark Hamill has to be one of the luckiest actors alive, given that until 1977 he was trapped in the seemingly inescapable world of TV movies. That was until George Lucas came a-knocking and cast him in the most successful and beloved sci-fi franchise of all time, giving him technically three hits playing the same character, Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. Hamill was hardly the high point of these flicks, but did a perfectly adequate job nonetheless. Still, it's no surprise that the offers didn't really come rolling in once he was done. Instead, Hamill has deferred to the less judgemental world of voiceover performance, though has earned consistent praise for his excellent vocal work on Batman: The Animated Series. Short of hilarious cameos in Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back and Kinsman, he very rarely makes screen appearances, and it's always referential to his one big hit. Even when Hamill returns to Luke for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, fronting 2015's biggest movie, it's not like he's truly expanded his horizons.
