10 Action Movies Where The Hero Never Fires A Gun

2. Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull

Fans of the Indiana Jones movies often look back fondly at the original trilogy and reflect on the time when the movies were all about the practical effects and the incredible stunts - the sight of Indie clambering underneath the truck as a Nazi soldier tries to run him down is just one of many classic moments to be enjoyed. The same can't be said for Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, which sees the intrepid archaeologist return after a long break and go through the motions, mostly surrounded by green screen upon which a series of increasingly unconvincing special effects shots were imposed. There's a tendency for filmmakers to tone down the violence as they get older and here the action feels completely sanitized, with Indie barely cracking his whip, never mind firing a gun. While many believe that the character should be left well alone from now on Steven Spielberg has expressed interest in reviving Indie with Chris Pratt taking on the role. It couldn't be any worse than Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crytal Skull.
