10 Actors And Directors Who Absolutely Hated Each Other

2. Marlon Brando & Frank Oz

Film: The Score

Marlon Brando was a bit of a diva. A great actor, sure, but a diva. He was notoriously difficult to work with while filming Apocalypse Now - he didn't memorize his lines, he didn't read the source material, and he showed up to set weighing 300 pounds. He fought ferociously to keep Burt Reynolds from playing Michael Corleone, proclaiming, “He is the epitome of something that makes me want to throw up."

He wasn't much more agreeable on the set of The Score, directed by Frank Oz. The two were constantly at each other's throats. When Oz told Brando to tone down his performance, Brando curtly replied, "F*ck you." He demanded that no one film him below the shoulders, and to ensure that no one did, he would walk onto set completely nude.

He frequently referred to Oz as Miss Piggy (the Muppet character played by Oz), and took the following puppet-themed swipe at him: "I bet you wish I was a puppet so you could stick your hand up my ass and make me do what you want." He refused to be directed by Oz, who had to send in Robert De Niro as an intermediary director.

Fun.
