Has anyone busted more monster balls than Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Not bad for someone whose filmography includes Cruel Intentions and I Know What You Did Last Summer. Nowadays Sarah Michelle Geller is mostly known for her classic pretty-face role in The Grudge and for starring alongside Robin Williams in The Crazy Ones. She hasn't staked a vampire in a long time, but that only makes her all the more deserving of a high rank in this list. Because during the Buffy era, there simply wasn't a bigger female action star. From the moment Buffy strode into Sunnydale in 1996, she served up one thing: whoop-ass. With her girl-next-door looks and mad slayer skills, there's nothing more believable than Sarah Michelle Gellar smacking a vampire in the face. And to think she did it all without newfangled gizmos like iPhones and broadband. Yes, Buffy is properly old school - even more impressive than the classic '80s action stars, too, because she did it all as a full-time high school student.
