10 Actors Everybody Thinks Can Act… But Can’t

6. Seth Rogen

Seth Rogen is one of those actors who seemingly just plays themselves in every film, with some token minor alterations to each character in terms of job, fashion sense and present circumstances. If you're looking for variation, it's best to steer well clear. His preferred method of acting seems to be to growl his way through consistent exasperation. Of course, when it comes to comedy, that probably plays just fine - after all, the audiences who are going to continue to turn up for Seth Rogen films are going to be the ones who like his schtick and are happy to pay to see it. Yet the port to more serious films just doesn't really work that well. Take a look at his last "serious" role as tech genius Steve Wozniak in Jobs: while he almost held his own against the likes of Michael Fassbender, at the end of the day his performance badly lacked a second dimension.
