10 Actors Who Just Can't Seem To Realise Their Full Potential

2. Andrew-Lee Potts

Out of all the extremely talented actors mentioned here today, Andrew-Lee Potts is both very much an unknown and untapped for potential; one could say that his acting career is just beginning, even though he appeared in his first role over 20 years ago. Mainly a television actor, Potts has acted in a small number of films, and seems to be stuck in a constant cycle of supporting characters, leaving little room for his acting light to shine. We first became acquainted with him in Syfy's Alice, a modern day interpretation of Lewis Carroll's beloved classic. Potts portrayal of Hatter brought a depth to the character in a way not previously seen, and was frankly better suited to the role than Johnny Depp proved to be in Tim Burton's version of the tale. Granted, the miniseries took a number of liberties with the original story - the biggest of which included a more important role for Hatter himself - but we still firmly believe that Andrew-Lee Potts was an integral part of making the adaptation as magical as it turned out to be. A perfect, defining role for Potts would be one that allows him prove to the rest of the world that he is, in fact, a diamond in the rough. Notable Roles: Primeval, Alice, Ideal Next Seen In: Stolen Light (short), The Hatching
