10 Actors Who Played The Same Character A Ridiculous Number Of Times

9. Leonard Nimoy As Spock €“ 8 Times

The Films: Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979), Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan (1982), Star Trek III: The Search For Spock (1984), Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986), Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989), Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991), Star Trek (2009), Star Trek Into Darkness (2013). Putting Leonard Nimoy in the Star Trek reboot was a stroke of genius. Telling die-hard Trekkies (or Trekkers, or whatever) their beloved series hadn€™t been forgotten and at the very least making it clear to everyone else this wasn€™t just a cheap cash-in and worth your time, his extended cameo did leave a major question over why young Kirk and Spock didn€™t try and sneak out info about their future. Star Trek Into Darkness dealt with that brilliantly. Already steeped in references to Wrath Of Khan, Nimoy€™s in-plot exposition appearance was the cherry on a cake already iced thick with geek glory. It also pushed his movie appearance count as the half-vulcan, half-human up to eight and fully deserving of a place on this list; he also starred in all six Original Series movies alongside William Shatner et al. And with Star Trek 3 in the planning (although without Abrams the dreaded odd-number curse could easily return) that number could still increase. It looks like Spock is really living long and prospering (yes, I went there).
