4. Dominique Swain
Now, I don't know where Dominique Swain went, but I bet you she went into hiding because she wasn't getting any big roles in Hollywood when she so clearly deserved them. Swain is an independent queen. Her list of movies is ten times that of a lot of actresses her age and she's done wonderful jobs in all of them. Watch Tart - which also happens to co-star Bijou Philips in one of her best roles (as well as very young versions of Lacey Chabert and Mischa Barton). There was a summer when I rented every movie Swain had been in up to that point because I felt as though every movie I watched, I got to know her a little bit better. You can see the parts of herself she devotes to her characters and no matter how different they are from each other, they are all her. I want to see her in starring roles and I want her to be more successful. She's an actress that I shouldn't have to tell people about or remind people of. Gifted, talented, and capable of bigger things.
