10 Actors That Should Play James Bond Next After Skyfall

4. Matthew Macfadyen (37)

Matthew Macfadyen is already most famous for playing one spy, but where his Tom Quinn in Spooks was MI5, Macfadyen could easily make the move over to MI6. Despite possessing some real acting talent and playing period lovers€™ sex fantasy-of-choice Mr. Darcy in Pride & Prejudice, Macfadyen has never really managed to break into the movies as a leading man. But forgetting for a minute that Tom Quinn and James Bond share obvious similarities, Macfadyen could easily do 007 justice. He does Bond€™s detached coldness and calm ruthlessness with ease, has that cunning intelligence the character requires and, as his BAFTA-nominated performance as a convicted paedophile in Secret Life proved, he isn€™t afraid to tackle the darker stuff.
