Sam Rockwell is easily one of the most likeable actors in Hollywood. No matter what project he is in, he brings incredible energy, personality and charm. While he has delved into serious territory a lot of times - even winning an Oscar for his performance in Three Billboards - he is mostly a comic actor, which is something Star Wars could make great use of.

He is no stranger to big-name projects, as Rockwell has made appearances in the MCU as Justin Hammer, classic movie roles such as Bill Wharton in The Green Mile and even played the individual lead in the phenomenal Sci-Fi drama Moon.

The actor's high energy would make him feel right at home playing a comic supporting character in the series, and there are plenty of parts for him. He could take on a goofy X-Wing fighter pilot, a funny alien side character or even a less irreverent but still loveable leading character.
