10 Actors Who Became Unlikely Action Movie Stars

Many people look at Bob Odenkirk and can only see Saul Goodman, which is understandable, as he was so fantastic in the role that his name became ubiquitous with Breaking Bad.

Although he'd appeared in a plethora of other titles, it seemed his career would always scoot around this part, which is what made his turn in the incredible action movie Nobody such a surprise.

In Breaking Bad, Odenkirk barely came across as someone who would be able to lift a gun, let alone shoot it. His pathetic and greedy character - which continued life in the fantastic spin-off Better Call Saul - was no threat, and that reputation served to help him in the role of Hutch Mansell.

Part of what made this movie impressive was that Hutch seemed like an average guy but was hiding some spectacular fire that became useful after becoming the target of a dangerous Russian mobster. Seeing Odenkirk rise to the occasion and killing waves of enemies was shocking and incredibly satisfying.

His mundane and ordinary life is thrown entirely out the window in this film. While he initially comes across just as weak as Saul Goodman, he eventually turns into a gun-toting badass and an incredible action star.
