The mother of deceased actor Heath Ledger's daughter, Michelle Williams rose to fame on the WB's flagship show Dawson's Creek. The series was a favourite among teens as well as adults, and the then 17-year old landed a starring role as Jen Lindley. It was a wholesome piece of Americana that dealt with issues that adolescents and young adults struggle with, with a maturity usually well beyond the years of the characters. It was during her stint on Dawson's Creek that Williams made the decision to accept roles that required nudity. She portrayed a lesbian in If These Walls Could Talk 2 before baring all once again for 2005's Brokeback Mountain, the movie where she met Ledger. She continued to expose herself in movies such as The Hawk Is Dying and Incendiary, and appears quite comfortable with pushing the envelope, as evidenced by her graphic scenes in Blue Valentine. Whether any of this has been a concerted effort on her part to distance herself from her early career image is unknown, but Michelle has definitely come a long way from innocent walks along the creek with Dawson.
