Jessica Chastain seems like one of the most obvious options for Poison Ivy, as she's one of the most well-known red-headed actors in Hollywood. However, she's suited to the part for more than just her locks, and would fit the world that Reeves seems to be carving like a glove.

Cinemagoers are no strangers to seeing Chastain take on villainous roles, as she's been quickly intimidating in movies like X-Men: Dark Phoenix and Crimson Peak. Even when she's playing protagonist roles, there's a sinister and dark side to her, as seen in films like Molly's Game and Mama. She's scary, thanks to her incredibly stern facial expressions and harsh/stoic energy.

In the realistic and grounded world that Matt Reeves is carving, it's easy to see how Chastain would work as a gritty, passionate and violent environmental vigilante.
