10 Actors Who Could Play Two-Face In Matt Reeves' The Batman
4. Alex Hogh Andersen
Film and TV constantly try to make you feel sorry for villains to make them seem more complex. More often than not, this doesn't work, as seeing evil people do evil things is rarely justified. Yet, one great example of a TV show pulling such a feat off is Ivar the Boneless from Vikings.
This character was such a malicious person, prone to fits of rage and cruelty, yet he made you feel bad for him thanks to how vulnerable and insecure he could be, mostly due to his disability. While the writing definitely made this work, it was the flawless performance from Alex Hogh Andersen that brought it all together.
Andersen's ability to make you feel conflicted about his evil intentions would be a great aspect to translate into Dent, as he could make audiences fall for both sides of his contrasting personality, with a significant focus on the terrifying and psychopathic tendencies of Two-Face.
While he might not have the star power to turn any heads at his casting, he'd undoubtedly do so when it comes to the performance itself.
