10 Actors Who Could Replace The Avengers

1. Loki: David Tennant

There€™s no doubting Marvel Studios have delivered some outstanding entertainment in the last eight years, but they haven€™t always delivered villains of the same calibre as their heroes; Ronan was one of the least memorable parts of Guardians of the Galaxy, Malekith failed to properly register in Thor: The Dark World, and you can add Abomination and Red Skull to the list of underachievers. That being said, one of their bad guys has a fan base to match that of any Avenger. We are, of course, referring to Loki; black sheep of the family Odinson, the tricksy scoundrel steals practically every scene he appears in, and Loki€™s popularity has a lot to do with Tom Hiddleston. The British actor has taken to the role with relish and the fans have responded in kind, but all good things must come to an end. You need look no further than Britain to find the next Loki-like €“ David Tennant could certainly do the job if called upon. Still best known for playing Doctor Who, Tennant has some blockbuster experience from appearing in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire but hasn€™t as yet traded his beloved stage for a career in Hollywood. Tennant could definitely be a fine replacement for Hiddleston but age could prove an issue €“ the Scottish actor is a full decade older than the man currently playing the God of Mischief €“ but still, we can€™t think of a better replacement. I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
