10 Actors Who Didn't Take A Break In 2012

1. Mark Duplass

Films of 2012: Zero Dark Thirty, Your Sister's Sister, People Like Us, Darling Companion, Safety Not Guaranteed Not only did Mark Duplass appear in as many films as he did in 2012, but he also saw the release of two films that he co-directed and wrote with his brother, "Jeff, Who Lives at Home" and "The Do-Deca-Pentathlon," as well as a star on the TV show "The League." The appeal of Mark Duplass as an actor is that he is the embodiment of the every man, even more so than a Jimmy Stewart was in Classic Hollywood. He is lumpy in a believable way, not conventionally good-looking but charming and smart. In all the films that he appeared in, not one hit a false note, even if it was a five minute appearance in a film like "Zero Dark Thirty" or a starring role in "Your Sister's Sister." His best role came from "Safety Not Guaranteed," though, inn which he brings earnestness to a character that could easily be ridiculous and over the top. His monologue about songs we love as a kid is perhaps the best monologue of the entire year. As for 2013, he will continue to appear on "The League." Which actors do you feel didn't take a break over the course of 2012? Let us know in the comment section below.
