10 Actors Who Hated Working On Star Wars

7. Denis Lawson (Wedge Antilles)

Denis Lawson played the small but memorable role of Rebel pilot Wedge Antilles in the original Star Wars trilogy, though as relayed by his nephew Ewan McGregor - who would later go on to play a young Obi-Wan Kenobi in the prequels, of course - he didn't much care for the part, or the fame he received for it:

"[Lawson] was always really dismissive of it because he did a couple of weeks' work, sitting in a cardboard spaceship… and yet he had this massive following. It sort of annoyed him."

Before the release of The Force Awakens, rumours intensified that Wedge would be making a return, but in an interview, Lawson curtly retorted:

"I'm not going to do that...They asked me but it just would have bored me."

You can't knock the guy's honesty, though in an ironic turnaround he did end up making a cameo appearance in The Rise of Skywalker. Presumably, Disney made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
