10 Actors Who Hated Working Together
6. Charlie Sheen & Sean Young - Wall Street
Oliver Stone strikes again, this time with his 1987 Oscar-winning classic Wall Street, where Charlie Sheen was left at odds with co-star Sean Young, who throughout the late '80s and early '90s amassed quite the reputation for being a difficult and "eccentric" actress.
Young, who had a small role in the film as Gordon Gekko's (Michael Douglas) wife Kate, was vocal about opining that she should've been given the larger role of Gecko's girlfriend Darien, and that the already-cast Daryl Hannah should be fired.
Furthermore, Young turned up late and unprepared to set, but worst of all, her actions caught the ire of Sheen, who reportedly placed a Post-it Note on her back which read "I am the biggest c**t in the world." Because the crew were so fed up with the actress, nobody told her for hours.
Stone ended up cutting Young's role down to its minimal necessity, and that was that, though in his 1996 biography, Stone did later admit that, on pure casting merits alone, Young actually should've been swapped with Hannah.
Young, whose Hollywood career exists largely on the fringes these days, said more recently of her reputation:
"People didn’t like that I was deeply honest and an unavailable prude who, at times, had a big mouth."
