10 Actors Who Have Never Made A Sequel

Jessica Chastain has a strange habit of regularly appearing in some major movie sequels, without any of them being sequels to her own films.

Over the last decade, she's been in Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, The Huntsman: Winter's War, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and It: Chapter Two, but she wasn't reprising a character in a single one of these projects.

In addition, most blockbuster movies she stars in never lead to a followup. Zero Dark Thirty, The Martian, and Interstellar were self-contained stories, Crimson Peak and Winter's War flopped, Dark Phoenix and It were the final instalments in their series, and Madagascar 4 entered development hell in the mid-2010s.

Her career has clearly contained lots of sequel potential, but none of this potential has ever fully manifested. Given that she's only 44 though, she'll almost certainly get to reprise a movie role one day, but with no sequels currently on the horizon, it's going to be a couple of years - at minimum - before that can happen.

In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
