10 Actors Who Hopefully Killed Their Careers In 2015

1. Adam Sandler

Here's another actor who could have appeared on this list for years and years, his last acclaimed starring movie being 2009's Funny People, and in the decade prior, his only well-reviewed films were Reign Over Me in 2007 and Punch Drunk Love in 2002. 2015 has been another characteristically mediocre year for the actor: Tom McCarthy's wildly disappointing The Cobbler signalled a return to form for Sandler but ironically ended up being one of his worst-reviewed films ever at just 9%, Pixels was destroyed by pundits (17%), Hotel Transylvania 2 was financially successful but critics were sharply divided (52%), and the year also saw the announcement that Sandler had signed a four-movie deal with Netflix to star in content that would release straight to the streaming giant's service. Though Netflix is great for movies like Beasts of No Nation, it just doesn't sound like a very good move for someone like Sandler, who is used to his movies being popular enough to play on thousands of screens to easy profits. Does this signal the downturn of his career, or is he again just proving how savvy a businessman he is by changing with the times? The next few years will tell, though outside of the Netflix deal he doesn't currently have any theatrical releases ready to go. Which actors do you hope have derailed their careers in 2015? Shout them out in the comments!
