10 Actors Who Hopefully Killed Their Careers In 2015
9. Jai Courtney
Though 2014 saw the widely-ridiculed Aussie actor starring in promising Oscar-baiting ventures from Angelina Jolie and Russell Crowe, 2015 has largely seen him returning to boring business as usual. He reprised his role as Eric in the critically-reviled Insurgent (but at least audiences got to see him be murdered, on the plus side), butchered the Kyle Reese character in Terminator Genisys (though arguably gave a better performance than Emilia Clarke, strangely enough) and played a major role in one of the Toronto International Film Festival's most-panned films, post-apocalyptic thriller Man Down, which currently has a shocking 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. In fairness, Courtney has secured a likely lucrative role as Captain Boomerang in the upcoming Suicide Squad, though it remains to be seen how frequently these characters will be appearing in future DCEU movies. Plus, Courtney has no other big blockbuster movies on his slate, so perhaps studios are finally starting to realise that audiences mostly find the guy to be a bland Sam Worthington 2.0 and not much more (which is probably a disservice to Worthers, because when he's not trying to force an American accent, he's actually not a bad actor).
