10. Johnny Depp - Black Mass

If there's somebody in Hollywood who loves to dress up and transform themselves physically using make-up, prosthetics and elaborate costumes, it's Johnny Depp. This man has made an entire career out of putting on weird hats and inflicting funny voices upon millions of movie-goers all over the world. You want a quirky character of the mythical, fantastic, gothic or psychedelic variety? Depp is your man. Thankfully, for upcoming crime flick Black Mass, the fantastical elements everyone tends to associate with the actor are nowhere to be seen. Instead, Depp's transformation is more along the lines of "Oh - he's old." That's to say, in his attempts to play real life mob enforcer turned FBI informant Whitey Bulger, Johnny Depp has been plastered with unflattering facial prosthetics and silly hair. He looks awful. The movie, set for release in September of this year, looks as though it wants to win a few Oscars. Directed by Scott Cooper, who helmed Crazy Heart, and co-starring Kevin Bacon and Sienna Miller, there's a good chance it will. And hopefully it will restore some credibility to Depp's currently embarrassing career.
