10 Actors Who Really Need To Fire Their Agent
1. Johnny Depp
How many times since the character of Jack Sparrow transformed him from quirky character actor to A-list superstar have you gotten the impression that Johnny Depp actually gives a sh*t about what he's doing instead of just putting on a wig and a hat and doing a stupid voice to get paid?
Outside of Black Mass, Sweeney Todd and Finding Neverland (funnily enough, the latter two earned him Academy Award nominations for Best Actor), it really is slim pickings. Depp's star has faded dramatically after a string of critical and commercial flops, with his phoned-in performances often being singled out for criticism.
Now seemingly content to coast by on his celebrity, now more than ever Depp needs to be challenged. Once regarded as one of the best actors of his generation and one of the most interesting talents in 90s cinema, the 54 year-old has to ditch the Disney blockbusters and vanity projects and return to what made him famous in the first place; being a consistently great actor.
