The star of Fury and the Percy Jackson franchise will inevitably be talked about when the casting kicks off: he was apparently up for the role alongside Andrew Garfield and his profile has grown since then. When the news broke that he might be up for the role initially he admitted that there have been a few discussions, its definitely something Im looking into. Its one of my favorite characters ever and Im a huge fan of the series. Id love to have more conversations about it. Im definitely very interested in it. Pros He's exactly the kind of actor you'd probably expect Sony to cast: fresh-faced, rising and already on their radar, and while he hasn't exactly shown it in Percy Jackson, he does have the range to make Spider-Man more than just a mouthy kid. Cons He might be - and this is going to sound odd considering Marvel's affiliations - a little bit Disney. Or at least he might be perceived to be.
