3. Taylor Lautner Was Almost Fired From Twilight: New Moon Because He Wasn't Muscly Enough

That's right: the Twilight franchise loves to almost fire its actors, apparently. First there was Robert Pattinson, and then poor ol' Taylor Lautner found his role in the series slipping between his fingers after appearing in the first flick.

Whereas Pattinson was almost replaced because he got way too into the character and annoyed everyone (a problem of his own doing), Lautner came close to being fired by the studio when it came time for him to reprise his role in the second film in the franchise, New Moon, because he wasn't muscly enough.

In the novels, Jacob transitions from normal-sized dude to super hefty muscle man in-between the first and second books, and director Chris Weitz had envisioned casting a new actor for New Moon Jacob, given Lautner's small physique. In an attempt to keep his part, though, Lautner had to convince the director that he'd bulk up - big-time.

Lautner narrowly avoided being fired after gaining approximately 29 pounds and - in the process - caused teenage girls everywhere to freak out. Go Team Jacob!
