10 Actors Who Were Robbed Of Iconic Movie Roles By Injury

5. Rob Kazinsky As Fili - The Hobbit Trilogy

The Hobbit Rob Krazinsky Not that anybody is entirely sure as to which actors have been cast in the roles of the dwarves in The Hobbit films anyway, given their significant lack of character development, but it's still interesting to note that another actor could have ended up playing the role of Fili instead of the guy they have now, Dean O'Gorman. During filming, then, Rob Kazinsky - perhaps best known for his roles in EastEnders and Pacific Rim - left the project under the vague guise of "health issues." "Thanks for all your support," he said. "Peter and team have been the most wonderful and supportive team to work for and it's with a truly sad heart that things have turned out this way." Apparently it was the role of Sean Slater in EastEnders that played havoc with his health, leaving him unable to fulfil the requirements of playing a dwarf. No real information has been attained as to the extent of these health issues, but Kazinsky seems totally fine now, so that's that.
