10. Arnold Schwarzenegger - The Predator

Shane Black's sequel to Predator 2 is effectively a soft reboot for the franchise, with Fox hoping that Black can reinvent the iconic movie monster as a blockbuster mainstay for a new generation.

The Predator is, however, unquestionably within the same continuity as the first two Predator films, to the extent that Black sought out original star Arnold Schwarzenegger to reprise his role in a cameo as musclebound hero Dutch.

However, Arnie turned the offer down as, simply, he "didn’t like it" and hoped the part would be bigger. Reports suggest it would've been a small cameo at the end of the film in order to set up a sequel.

What It Means For The Film:

As fun as this would've been, the series really doesn't need Arnie, and a fan service cameo for the sake of it could've easily gone either way.

The fist-pumping appeal of Dutch showing up is undeniable, but considering the numerous reports about the film's troubled post-production process, the lack of Arnie sounds like the least of its troubles.
