10. Philip Seymour Hoffman As The Kingpin
Philip Seymour Hoffman is, by no means, an original choice but I do think he would be a damn good one. Back in the day, I remember reading through the IMDb message boards for The Dark Knight and a huge argument was being made for Philip Seymour Hoffman to play The Penguin in the sequel. While we know that nothing like this came to fruition, we do know that it wasnt an uninspired notion. Just look through Hoffmans filmography and youll see that he is a terrific actor. Films like Capote and Doubt largely showed his ability to portray inner conflict convincingly. Meanwhile, the excellent Mission Impossible 3 is a good indication that he isnt afraid to be in this kind of fluff and he can have a damn real external presence as well. Most would probably like to see Hoffman play a villain (based on the penguin rumours of Batman past). If this were the case I would say that he could be an excellent Arnim Zola...that is if Toby Jones hadnt already taken the role in the first Captain America. He might also be a good fit for the Kingpin if Spider-Man or Daredevil was to join the MCU (unlikely but still worth noting). If a villainous role doesnt open up, Im sure he could still fit in somewhere. The guy has a presence that would suit the universe.
