10 Actors Whose Voices You Want To Steal As Your Own
5. John Goodman
John Goodman has one of those voices that can make even the most mundane statement sound interesting. Imagine him saying absolutely anything, and you will agree. "I had toast for breakfast." That must have been made by gods in a toaster made out of gold with bread made out of bacon. It would be impossible to choose a film that best utilises Goodman's vocal prowess. His rich career has boasted turns for the Coen's; if you're going to read a script from the Coen brothers you best make their dialogue sound good, and also lending his voice for Pixar's Monsters, Inc. and University, in which he voiced the big, blue, lovably furry monster James P. Sullivan. Goodman's voice was made for storytelling; one that can hold the attention of a large group of people, even if the story isn't necessarily a good one. Now read the rest of this article with Goodman's voice in your mind, and it will appear to be one-hundred times better than it has done so far.
