Humphrey Bogart is one of the most famous of all-screen actors, and across the span of his long career he starred in over 75 feature films... not one of which was a sequel. "Really?" you say. "Surely he starred in a follow-up to The Maltese Falcon or something?" Nope: despite the fact that there had often been talk of sequels to famous flicks like Casablanca and The Big Sleep, they never went into production. For shame! Of course, when Bogart was making movies, sequels weren't anywhere near as frequent as they are now, and so of course there are loads of actors from this era who made countless movies and never featured in a sequel - we're simply pointing out Bogart as an interesting choice because he played lots of famous characters, such as Sam Spade or Phillip Marlowe, who you'd assume he would have reprised in sequels. If He Had To Make A Sequel? Not really worth considering, is it? He's dead. Still, Brazzaville - the long rumoured sequel to Casablanca - could still make for a great flick. Like this article?
