2. Martin Starr - Mr. Harrington (The Incredible Hulk & Spider-Man: Homecoming)

Martin Starr has a memorable supporting role in the two Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man movies to date, playing Peter Parker's (Tom Holland) adorkable teacher and academic decathlon coach Mr. Harrington.

It's a role he's perfectly cast for and yet, did you know he actually got his MCU start almost a decade before Spider-Man: Homecoming hit cinemas?

Starr made his first MCU appearance in 2008's The Incredible Hulk, credited as the pizza-loving "Computer Nerd" hanging out in the university computer lab.

Though the film's official novelisation identified him as superhero Amadeus Cho, back in 2019 Kevin Feige confirmed that his prior appearance had been effectively retconned, meaning Starr was indeed playing Roger Harrington back in The Incredible Hulk.

Considering how there's absolutely nothing within the movies themselves which contradicts this logic, it's a neat piece of accidental world-building, that Mr. Harrington has really been in the MCU since almost the beginning. Terrific.
